Hats for the Holidays

Our grade 6 leadership group want to become more involved in some school initiatives so they are busy making plans for their first event- Hats for the Holidays.  Over the past number of years our staff have donated to families in need at Christmas, however this year our students would also like to contribute to this worthwhile cause. On Friday, November 17 students can wear their favourite hat to school and donate a loonie or toonie to help support families in our community. Families are certainly able to donate more if they wish.  All money raised will help our school sponsor local families during the holiday season.

Chapters Night

On Wednesday evening, November 22, 2017, families and friends are invited to come out to Chapters to show their support for our literacy initiatives here at Cowan Heights Elementary.  Our school will receive a Chapter’s gift card for 20% of the pre-tax amount of every transaction that identifies itself as part of our fundraiser.  Keep this date in mind for your Christmas shopping and stop by Chapters anytime between 7-9pm to support CHE.
